Welcome

Welcome to the homepage for the DALE project, a joint initiative of the National Police Service (KLPD) and the Leiden Intitute for Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), the computer science departement of Leiden University, that started 1. March 2005.

DALE is an acronym for Data Assistence for Law Enforcement. Its research goal is to compose a framework for datamining in law enforcement in close cooperation with domain experts. The systems that will be developed will be such that future developments can be embodied and will have their basis in problems arising from daily practice.
The complete project proposal can be found in the resources section.
